The nation has suffered much since that 1981 reveal of the "hive" so clearly related here. Not mentioned is that fact that for forty+ years the Republican Party failed to expose/communicate to the people what was going on with sufficient effectiveness that you needed to document case after case of Democrat abuse of our political and judicial institutions in a decades long erosion of liberty, justice and prosperity within our United States of America. It took an independently minded, former Democrat, to wake up people, incompletely but sufficiently, enough to these issues that he was elected President in 2016 and 2024. And the fact seems to be that (mostly behind the scenes) President Trump continues to face repeated internal Republican opposition to the changes needed to address the consequences of these past abuses as noted. You did not even mention the disastrous, and costly in lives and wealth, US failed foreign military adventures in imperialism from Vietnam through Afghanistan, Iraq-Syria to Ukraine at present, with many smaller interventions in between. How much of that foreign threat and crisis series of events was orchestrated in part to deflect us from noticing the "hive's" harm at home? Making America strong, just, free and opportunity-oriented prosperous begins at home. If we get our own house in order, then we can be a pragmatically virtuous light to other nations. We can have a strong military without it being, directly or indirectly, heavily present on foreign soil.
